Upon opening this is still very tightly coiled, and a bit bitter. Some noticable residual sugar on the palate. Gave this a few hours of air in a decanter, and it unfurled into something truly beautiful and powerful. Lots of lime, apple, stony minerality, blossom, grapefruit, some notes of honey, unripe white peach. The wine is very intense, and the finish is very long with face ripping acidity.
Rating is for current drinking, potential is +3 if it develops a lot of complexity and the acidity integrates a bit.

At Hao Noodle Chelsea NYC. This was a perfect complement with spicy Szechuan cuisine. Effusive tropical fruits on the nose, with bright acidity balanced against bountiful salinity that reset each bite of food nicely. Will probably evolve more gravitas over time but this is already drinking beautifully, especially with food.

With M and M at Spruce Restaurant (SF). Opened tightly, with racy acid, mineral and apple notes. Very vinous, with a hint of petrol. With air, this wine opened beautifully, becoming honied, supple, and beautifully modulated, with the acids becoming more-refined and incorporated. Classy wine that is a baby, but wi the air certainly opens up and become approachable.

Three hour decant. Drank over three days. Pours a pale lemon. Fragrant lime blossom, feint petroleum, a dry stone mineralty, white peach, under ripe nectarine, lemon zest, a sea salt salinity, orange oil, and flint are just some of the nuances revealing themselves on the nose. A rich, round palate expanding wine that oscillates between a Grüner Veltliner-esque spice and white pepper on the one hand and honeydew melon and layers of fresh citrus on the other. Exceptionally youthful and clearly in need of several years cellaring in order to deliver the undeniable potential on show but still an absolute delight to drink when young with such energy. Pure, precise, elegant, dense, and long.
