  • Subsequent notes on this wine from about 4 years ago. Dark reddish ruby in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of roses, minerals, dried herbs, loam, sandalwood, tea, anise, spices, mint, minerals & hints of cedar in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, rich, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plumes with spices, dried herbs, mushrooms, minerals & oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing (90 min.+) & even at 9 years of age, it should continue to develop further with additional aging. A wonderful Brunello that is just getting better with time.

  • Medium/light in color and body. Cherry fruit, balsamic and iron on the palate. A bit on the taut side with medium+ acidity but also elegant (iron fist in a velvet glove). Fined grained tannins on a medium finish. Good food wine. Very good.

  • Dark red color. On nose, rosemary, sour cherry, sweet cherry, sweet cherry, tobacco and charred earth. On palate, full body, medium+ body, high acidity, medium tannins and very long finish. Very nice. 93+

  • Solid wine ready for drinking now. 30 min decant it improves to expose the essence of this estate! Nice color, starting the bricking phase, a tad dry but good red fruits here with some earthy accents and wood. Nice perfume on the nose, legs in the glass, a bit lighter than the Riserva of the same vintage, which also has more depth. Drink or hold.
