Pale garnet colour. Medium and developing nose with strawberry, red cherry, black pepper, licorice, chocolate and wet leaves. Medium taste of strawberry, red cherry, black pepper, licorice, chocolate and wet leaves. Medium (+) long and dry finish. High acidity. High tannins. Full body. A very good Gattinara. Needs air to open. Goes well with beef or lamb.

Plenty of red fruit, some floral notes along with leather, tar and a nice earthy-ness. Plenty of tannins, so was great with food. Was good to go but should also age for quite some time, if possible to wait.

The wine has tremendous cherry fruit and a floral undertone in the nose.
In mouth the wine has a familiar "Tuscan Tannin" to its mouthfeel. It's light to medium bodied with bright cherry freshness and an earthy mid palette and once again a dusty finish.

(Travaglini Gattinara) Medium red violet color; aromatic, cherry, red berry, dried cherry nose; juicy, cherry, red berry, dried cherry palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (13.5% alcohol; natural cork)
