Payed 125$. Blind tasted against a St-Emilion priced at 50$ and one at 25$ (Trianon and Jean-Pierre Moueix).
This one didnt show very well in the tasting. Very closed off, the aromatics just don't show much compared to the Trianon. (And the Trianon was in a strangely shaped glass) on the nose: the most chocolaty of the 3, almost a chocolate milk smell. Some cherry. On the palate: plum, black cherry and cassis. Chocolate and cloves. Long finish. All very subdued and closed. Need to work to get notes out. Due to the long finish it's pretty obvious that the quality is here but it's so closed off that it didn't show it's best during the tasting and took second place behind the Trianon which was way more beautiful at that moment.
I originally gave this 89points vs the Trianon's 91 (JPmoueix was 83) but I tasted this again today. Showing much better on day two with a lot more richness, Chocolate and fruits showing. I'm bumping it up to 93pts but I don't think this wine is worth it's asking price.
Another edit is that this score has been pumped up like crazy by the other tasters here. Tasting notes are a personal opinion but there's no way this gets close to 100 points ever. And I bought this due to their high ratings only to be disappointed. Fool me once.
2019 Bordeaux Tasting, MW tasting (Vintner's Hall, London): 88% Mer 12% CF, 14.50% Bold flavors, juicy fruit notes, some darker notes, chocolate notes, blue and black fruit, ripe fruit notes, some floral notes. Palate is juicy, med body, very fruit forward, some alcohol heat, med finish, needs some time

Very good wine too young right now but accessible. Mostly red fruits with minerality and acidity, flowery and deep. Don’t get how it got an average of 96+ but it’s a good wine that deserves its price.

This wine is amazing. Needs aeration or a long decant and can be drunk now.
Incredible balance of fruit and structure. So soft. Yummy. Black fruit. Delicious. Can’t say more except we need more of this.

Rich, muscular merlot tasting notes. Dark cherry cough syrup, blackberry, tobacco, black tea flavors.
