  Schöne und klare Nase mit roten Kirschen unterlegt mit phenolischen / ätherischen Noten und einem Touch Erdbeere. Dazu gesellen sich etwas trockene Kräuter.
  
  Am sehr intensiven Gaumen beginnt der Antrunk mit dunklen Kirschen und trockenen Kräutern. Das Ganze wird allerdings alsbald von überraschend intensiven Nebbiolo-ähnlichen Tanninen abgelöst, die sich bis ins phenolische und kräuterige Finish halten.
  
  Alles in allem ein sehr intensiver und komplexer Gaumen mit einer guten Länge. Die Tannine könnten allerdings für meinen Geschmack etwas besser integriert sein für eine gute Balance zwischen Säure und Tannine am mittleren Gaumen.
  Etwas Luft oder ein Stück Parmesan helfen allerdings Wunder… Schöner Wein zum Essen für mich in der Range 89 - 90.

  Light/medium body. Medium acid. Notes of mushroom and forest floor. Cherry and strawberry but. Tobacco, minerals and spice. Complex and nuanced and improved with age. Had it chilled at 13-14 celsius.

  It’s ok but a notable step down from the contrada bottlings (Feudo, San Lorenzo, etc). Give it at least a few hours. Probably best to lay down a few years but this is not a bottle I’d buy in quantity. It’s very representative of the style but the underlying material quality doesn’t compare to the premium bottlings.
