Great QPR! Yes bacon fat and olive tapenade with iron and cherry on the palate. It does have the funk on the nose too. Very good second tier rocks Syrah.

QPR is terrific. I am not sure I would rate this as a 94 like Wine Spectator, but it is very good . It has a very classic Walla Walla “Rocks” profile . The nose has olive and bacon fat . There is blue fruit, minerality and iron on the palate. Nice integration of tannins . That being said, I don’t taste the depth and structure of a the more expensive “label” Reynvaan.
Bing cherry, minerals, olive brine, saline, unmistakable funk from Rocks District on nose. Medium acid, soft mouthfeel. Red fruits, pepper, earth, medium body. Pop n pour.
PnP. No detailed notes. Funky Syrah character on the nose and early palate but it smoothed out from there. This wine probably deserved more attention than I gave it.

Blueberry/dark fruit with a hint of olive. Best after a few hours of air. Excellent value.
