Medium ruby red in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & cranberries with overtones of floral notes of roses, earthy/dusty notes, minerals, orange peel, mushrooms, spices, anise, herbs, tar & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, intense, ripe fruit flavors of sour cherries, strawberries & cranberries with herbs, minerals & spices. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with much needed additional aging at which time, I anticipate it will merit a higher score (95+). An outstanding Barolo with a long life ahead of it & perhaps one of the best 2019 Barolos I have had to date. A definite "must buy" for any serious Barolo fan.

Essentially popped and poured from a decanter and enjoyed over a few hours. Bright red fruit which mellowed slightly with time in the glass. Tar is present but in the background for now. Huge structure. Very enjoyable now with tons of upside. My dad liked it a lot.

short notes from a 19 barolo tasting: eucalyptus, black cherry, coarse strong tannins, medium acid. The 2 vajras were the top 19s in the tasting.
