Modestly tired but with enough life and lift in my glass that it was drained with the first course. I like my old Champagnes with good mouse and after opening nearly a ½ dozen oldies (pre-1982) this weekend, the only one that delivered the crisp, freshness was 2 bottles of 1982 Krug. Maybe it was because they were purchased still in the original tissue and box…

Acker's 1970's Holiday Champagne Dinner (Atera - 77 Worth Street in NYC): This was drinking exceptionally well. Tons of vanilla, almost a backdrop of coffee bean. Certain softness to the wine. Very pretty. One of my favorites.

Champagne Brunch (@Terkel): A little bit of bubbles left. Lovely sherry notes. Lovely.
