PnP at cellar temperature. Pours medium gold. The nose is layered, interesting, and changes with air and warmth. Primary, secondary, and tertiary aromas are all present: lemon rind, flint, white peppercorns, spice cabinet, pineapple and mixed tropical fruits, butterscotch, and hairspray. Soft lemon and butter on the attack are joined by oak-driven flavors and aggressive acidity on the midpalate. Acidity seems to combine with a coating of very fine wood tannin into the finish, giving this '07 a surprisingly firm structure. Finishes long (several minutes) with persistent oak-derived and lemon curd flavors.
This is a very well-made wine with a significant amount of aging potential remaining. Oak is overused for our taste, but we can't argue with results...this is very nice wine after ~8 years in bottle. Tough to tell where it might be headed, but certainly drinking well now. "Very good-to-excellent," 90/100.

Rich yellow, clear. Fresh herbs, petrol, vanilla, green olive on the nose. A bit of tannin, with good acidity. A hint of butter and sweetness, lemon curd, grapefruit, baking spice, olive on the palate. Very long finish. Like a grand cru burgundy. Very, very delicious.
