Inky ruby. Raspberry jam, baking spice, and cola nose. medium bodied, dirty strawberries, cranberry juice, dusty tannins, black cherries, smoke, good acid, some heat, and a slightly bitter medium to long finish. Better with food.

Notes of plum, black raspberry, blueberry, crushed rock, yeasty soft pretzel, and grape juice (grape juice and soft pretzel especially potent upon opening but fair away fairly quickly). Palate is a bit austere at first, but softens up with time. Medium, slightly tinny finish. Don't enjoy the palate as much as the nose, but it is still a decent wine overall.

Seems to be a little past its prime. Vinegar like acidity that dissipates more with decanting. Some pepper notes and herbaceous. Port-like nose.

too much fruit - plum dominates - and, yes, a little grape-juicy. not bad, and nice for the price.
