Decanted and poured immediately. Sweetly scented nose with a whisper of oak. Rich cherry and raspberry, spice and garigue. Modest tannins on the finish. Superb tonight but no need to rush the next.

This needs a lot of air. Upon opening, this showed with a lot of oak, dark fruit, some liquorice note, some tobacco and some garrigue. Tannins are still very present, but not too harsh, especially if drunk with food. 3 hours of air made it significantly better and a bit more floral, but its still a baby.

Wow, I had this several years ago, without the 3 plus hour decant. What a difference. I kept it in the Duck for 3 hours then back to the bottle. Smooth, very well integrated tannins, but still the last glass was the best. Dark fruits, some very light tobacco along with a mild chocolate mint taste. The mint was minimal, but there.

Featuring pleasant notes of iron, minerals, coal and black berries, this wine is dense, intensive, mouth-filling and fruity on the palate. The tannins are still biting, but not too astringent. The wine is pleasant now, but it is still a bit closed and straightforward, at least on day 1. I think that the aroma and favor palette will be even more open and multifaceted after a few more years of ageing.
