Old but not tired. Has some toffee apple development. The palate is soft and gentle and shows sweet fruit and spice. There is still some structure and moderate length.

blind I guessed riped Burgundy, it needed 2 hours of decantation. Roasted nuts, lime, elegance, maybe a hint too short in the finish. Even from this mediocre year a nice effort. At his peak. 94

Deep atraw yellow offering nose of honey, white flowers and apricot. Med conc on palate, fresh acidity, not overwhelming, some mierality akin to Chevalier but there is still fatness in this wine. Purfumed after taste that lingers. Lovely Raomnet that seldom disappoints.

A decadent evening (Sydney, Australia): The nose is cheesy and reminiscent of lightly buttered toast, there were also some pear, lemon and apple undertones coming through. Very delicately flavoured on the palate with the high acid providing backbone. Needs to be given some time to develop the depth that is lacking at the moment.
