  The wine exhibits little in the way of aroma except some alcohol and toasted fruit notes. The midpalate is nicely structured with cassis, good acidity and a mineral streak that carries to the finish.
  I think it has potential for improvement but will most likely never be stellar.

  Deep ruby in color with slight bricking at the edges, this wine shows focused aromas of both black and red fruits, primarily plum as well as vanilla and cedar on the nose. The mouth feel is medium-bodied and rich with soft tannins and defined baking spices. The finish was medium in length with the black and red fruits standing out. 13.5% abv.
  
  Purchased for $9US, this is an outstanding qpr that is recommended to buy by the case. It shows its sense of place but also has enough up front fruit to make it an easy daily drinker.
