Some signs of age on the colour of this wine. More than the nine years should warrant. However, the wine when drunk was in fine fettle. Aroma of earth, some red fruit (but faint), and furniture polish. In the mouth quite spare and anaemic to begin with, but with time it broadens and becomes more fruity and satisfying. Still on the elegant side, but the time and temperature filled it out to a much more satisfying presence. (Note that I take the Parker-scale seriously. "87" means a very good wine on the borderline to excellent. I DON'T subscribe to the idea that 90 is the minimum for a high quality wine. That has appalling idea has compressed the scale to a claustrophobic degree.)

From vines on shallow, rocky soil. I think that this may have been my first taste of this vineyard. Very different from Chevellon's biiger LSG, Cailles and Vaucrains. Bright, fine grained mineral driven wine. I really enjoyed it in its current stage. Feels like it has got lots of time left.

No detailed notes as on vacation, but lovely with food.

Delicious, but primary window with red fruit balanced by good acidity and early signs of secondary notes.
