Ruby lively color, not very intense. Red fruit dominated nose: raspberry, currant. Than gets more spicy and mentholated, with mocha, sandalwood, star anise. Nice texture at palate, with fresh acidity and integrated smooth tannins. Not the biggest and most complex of the Barolo, but a wine of a certain elegance and grace, drinkable from now. Medium finish.

A little sceptical when I see a $60 barolo on a wine list, but this was quite alright. Forest floor and berries on the nose. Medium bodied with fresh acidity and grippy, but fine tannins on the back end. Very velvety texture. Raspberries and cedar flavours. Medium finish. Not the most complex barolo, but pretty approachable for a 5-yr old and drinking nicely at this stage - this should pick up some comlexity with age. Nice wine for a crappy rainy day.

Contains ‘Arborina fruit as no straight ‘Arborina’ was made in 06. There’s just a little coffee and caramel to the aroma along with cedar and red fruits. It is a little skinny in the mouth at this stage and finishes with sandy tannins.

Light raspberry coloured with lifted floral aromas; roses and strawberries. Quite full and muscular, yet has good structure and a certain elegance with fine but grippy tannins balancing the toffee laden red fruits.

Light and thin body, but masses of rough unripe tannins. Black tea dominates the flavor profile right now. Not at balance yet. - 87+ points
