Pleasant and easy drinking gevrey. Tannins surprisingly completely resolved. Very dry, black fruit, earth, forest floor, dark cherry but not a whole lot of fruit. Old world in style completely. I usually think of gevrey as firmer and tougher than this bottle, but nothing wrong with the occasional easy drinker. Good wine, but drink up.

Very smooth and drinking really well right now. Not extremely complex but elegant style with cherry notes. Tannins completely resolved, seems this wine is at its peak now

Alain Burguet 2008 Burgundy Tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): A very ripe and rich cherry and plum nose with fantastic funky elements and a cola tang as well. The palette is very balanced and sexy, but there is also some dark, brooding elements as well. Very nice indeed!

Straight up old world, barnyard with hay, manure, vanilla and red fruit on the nose. Love it. Red fruit and black spice and wet rock minerality on the palate. I am a fan of this wine and it's a pleaser for the crowd I'm with. Drank at the Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick, NJ. Delicious.
