Had alongside the 2012. The ‘11 seems more expressive and floral, yet with softer acidity. It has developed nicely but lacks the complexity to make it more than just above average.

Not a favourite of mine. Not bad, but a bit mediocre. A lot of burnt rubber on the nose, some on the palate as well, together with some citrusy fruit that is as much sour as it is fresh. Think it is the burned rubber on the palate that I don’t like so much, while you could argue typicity. Slightly improved over a bottle I had in February 2020, but not much.

Medium intensity on the nose with pineapples and ripe apples coming through. On the palate it almost had a soda element. Pineapple, a little beeswax, but still high acidity. The wine lacked in complexity but had good balance, nice length, and medium intensity.
Pleasant to drink, doubtful more years in bottle will add any strong interesting tertiary notes, but I could be wrong.

Buttercup colour; remains fresh, apples, a light undercurrent of petrol; dry, bracing acidity, direct but one dimensional; long but at its peak. Started to fade after two hours. Best drunk soon.

Straightforward Barossa Riesling, in a good way, with great purity of flavors and a zesty energy I found especially refreshing. Notes of petrol, lime, jellied citrus and some crushed stones. Not the most complex but very enjoyable.
