  I’ve had plenty of vintages at 30+ years that were singing. Two bottles opened and both showed as advanced, beginning of the low-joy over-the-hill window. Drink up, sadly.

  Finally, a yummy bottle of the 1996 Geyserville! Blackberry, rich, youthful with lively dusty tannin. Medium acidity easily carries the wine through the finish. This bottle came across as still somewhat youthful which is crazy given how many of the other bottles have shown.
