Nice evolved plummy and spicy nose with a little forest floor. Rich and plummy on the palate but some Sangiovese freshness and acidity too. Tannins at point providing a velvety long finish.
I’d drink up if I had some

I have enjoyed the richness of Camartina is the past but this bottle was a bit of a disappointment. Not that their was technically anything wrong, rather it just hadnt evolved any complexity and was showing pretty much ripe rich primary fruit. Great with a meal commented the patriarch. could this be because the bottle had been so well stored/ perhaps needs 20+ more years? The overall impression on my part is one of confusion.

Querciabella (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Leather, earth, meaty, a little dusty baking spice, brambles, blackcurrant, cedar. Medium plus intensity acidity is juicy, fleshy, mouthwatering. Tannins are drying and talc textured, they persist long with the brambly, blackcurrant notes accompanied by a little cherry. Yum

Enjoyed on NYE 2017 accompanying a lovely rare eye fillet. Decanted for 2 hours and drunk from Riedel Vinum glassware. Great match for the meal; very yummy on the wife scale. Happy chappy.

Tobacco, leather and spice, and everything nice… Deep dark burnt fruit… Great blend of tenants in acidity and fruit and alcohol… Simply a pleasure
