Still going strong - consistent w/ my other notes. Guessing that this wine could go for another five or so year - so will hold off on my remaining bottles..

Tasting very youthful - would be hard to peg it as an almost 10yr old wine - dark almost inky color, sexy nose of strawberry, cedar, spice, earthiness - lovely. Just slightly watery on the mid-palate but firms up at the end w/ a nice juicy finish and a bit of tannin. What a steal of a wine at $14 or so.

Hmm, not sure what to think. I'm getting a little of the sour, but not nearly the vegetables everyone else is. The cork came out a bit too easy though, so maybe my bottle is a poor specimen. Actually had it with pork chops and sauerkraut (what else is gonna go with that???) - but to my surprise this wine didn't run away from dinner or anything. Will try the rest tomorrow with something else to see how it does.

Loved this wine - lovely stink, leather, earthiness on the nose - and fruit is still fresh. Strong acidic streak in this wine which attacks the front of our tounge. At times, almost burgundian, dancing around the mouth when the fruit was its fulliest. After a few hours the fruit died down a bit and the acidity was a bit overpowering. But drinking well and just a delicious bottle of (cheap) cab franc!

On the sour side for my taste. But the smokey, black cherry flavors go well with food. Nice acidity mild tannins.
