{screwcap, 12%} Light yellow straw colour. Grapefruit and mild lime juice nose. Sandstone character too. True to the Tahbilk tradition in aroma and flavour. The palate is still fresh, a bit dilute in flavour, with yellow, almost tropical fruit flavours. No oak. Gently furry texture, which is almost the dominant character to the palate. Only really light-bodied, despite the sense of denseness it implies. Not a terribly long finish, either in flavour or texture, however. I do rather think that the advent of the 1927 vine premium cuvée at the turn of the century dropped the quality of the standard offering noticeably. Long way of saying - it don’t age like it used to. This will be fine for another 8-10 years, or longer, but I don’t know it’ll ever become more interesting.

Too young but still working for me. Nose has fruit with depth and a maybe galvanised overtone whose broadness (not breadth?) is also apparent yet in the palate. Acid and fruit are there suggesting it will pan out OK. Reasonably long finish.

Wasn't paying much attention, I'm afraid.
