This wine was enjoyed over three days. It had a beautiful golden hue. On the nose, scents of grilled lemon, mineral notes, and ripe pineapple emerged, which carried through to the flavors. The acidity was milder than three years ago, and while the fruit character seemed somewhat restrained initially, it improved over subsequent days. The wine had a relatively long finish, a silky texture, and a well-balanced, enjoyable profile.

Colour: Clear gold with silver rim Nose: Toast, lemon curd, white peach - not overly intense. Palette: Lemon curd and peel, white peach, honey, salted almond.
Rich, long, slightly salty toast and lemon pith finish that coats the tongue.
Very nice wine that is probably in it's peak drinking window.
Do not serve it to cold or you'll lose the flavours!

14 Tahbilk This would be a great wine to serve someone blindfolded. At a recent party a drinker commented that older bottles can look like a red wine. This bottle certainly proved that.
Oily and full bodied, the white peach, lemon peel and nutty (salted french almonds) and white stone fruit (including the stone- white peach kernel here is a big detail) drags long and savoury but there’s this interplay with crisp and crunchy granny Smith apple skins that really appeals too.
A whole lot of textural, detailed and adult food wine here for $17 from Dans in their ‘Cellar’ program.
It’s very good to excellent, and so distinctive in the Australian wine landscape. 92. Drink now, not too cold, in place of sherry, with good friends, anchovies and hard cheeses (that’s what I’m doing!).
