Bright gold. Intense nose, showing honey, quince, pear, pineapple, apricot and beeswax. Medium- body. Lacking acidity for my liking but I guess that is to be expected for the variety and its age. Good wine but past its best now.

Superb drinking right now. Honey, peach, melon aromas balanced by a light, enjoyable acidity (far cry from a young bottle). Immediately after opening some interesting kerosene armies, like in a dry, aged Riesling.

{screwcap, 13.5%} Now quite a deep gold. Intense, developed nose of vanilla and citrus. But there's still a grassy sort of greenness to it, hinting at an eternal youth beneath. The palate is aging but lively, with a dance of citric fruit, hints of honey and marzipan and nougat, always dry, with medium acidity, medium/full weight, and a medium/long finish. I imagine this has hit peak, but feels like it will hold for another half-decade easy. All hail the screwcap!

Mini Verticals - Tasted Blind: Extremely different in style to the 2014 it was next to. Really appealing nose, honeysuckle, spice, apple and earth. Textured and interesting but also tasty to drink. Has an acid line that is quite vibrant. Drink now and over the shorter term.

Nicely refrshong. Melon and peach on the nose. Steely, tight wine. Clean and crisp. Melon predominates with a touch of honey to add complexity. Medium length finish. I like it.
