  • Deep orange. Dominant notes on nose dried but sweet apricot, figs, and raisins. But lots of complexity to discover too - tea leaves, something floral (that blooming flower in Turkish tea), a few subtle spices with slightly oxidated (almost rusty?) note.

The palate of the above notes, particularly wonderful sweetness of apricots and raisins with great acidic balance.

Amazingly fresh for the age; only hints of age with the oxidative/rusty note and a somewhat "mature" tertiary note akin to old books.

Long finish with a touch of mature honey and some nuttiness on the end. Excellent experience and really shows the glory of sweet wines which can age and age.

  • Really dark golden/copper in colour, orange/brown. Fantastic nose - orange liqueur, caramel, dried fruits, floral notes, honey, spices, tea leaves. Again this amazing freshness on the palate, complex notes of honey, nuts, marzipan, mellow, rich, in superb balance. Great length. Wow. 93-95
