The Kitchen Table, London 10yr Anniversary Event (The Kitchen Table, London): By the glass as part of the pairing for The Kitchen Table, London 10yr Anniversary Event. Even arriving at the end of a super long wine flight this was not to be missed. Grated is young and lacks the evolution of older vinatges we have had but still ever so cahrmign and elegant. A lot darker than we expected, a lot more evolution, marmalade, orange peel, soft honey, apricots and special as always. 92-93

(CLOS DE BOURG Moelleux 1ere Trie HUET) Vouvray/Huet Dear Friends, I’ve just left the Loire and, despite a cavalcade of success, Huet has once again claimed their stake as the finest producer of white wine in the region. Yes, there are many top-level wines from 2008 and 2009, from different varietals and of varying sugar levels, but Huet is simply on another level – they are not messing around. This set of 2008 sweet wines will pummel your palate with divine elegance and both wines will leave your palate begging for further exploration...a good thing considering your bottles will probably last until 2050-2080...with ease. Both wines are VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED? Is there a term I can use that is more than VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED? How about VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED+ (if Parker can add an “*”, why not?) For those of you keeping track, this set of sweet wines from Huet ranks up there as one of the highest scoring on the SC/CP scale: , among the highest yet tabulated: 2008 Huet “Le Mont” Moelleux 1ere Trie - 2008 Huet “Clos de Bourg” Moelleux 1ere Trie - Please give us your maximum number up to 24/each wine and we will allocate accordingly To order: niki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to arrive in Sept (please check OARS for local pick up after Labor Day). This bottle was outstanding. Excellent fruit and sweetness perfectly balanced with acidity and a unique mineral finish.

Rose hip marmalade in the bouquet. On the palate a lot of round sweetness, orange peel and good acidity. Excellent wine.
