Ten years from the vintage, and this is still fresh as a daisy. The brightness is pleasingly prominent for a 2009, a vintage I always thought of as having a lot of baby fat on top of its spine. There's plenty of peachy fruit, and the finish has good persistence and freshness. It's drinking well now if you want a youthful Kabinett. Given the depth I think this one can go for longer term aging to see what develops.

Ripe, crisp and fresh, this is big, but not too big for kabinett. It still shows a bit of spritz, which buttresses the acidity, and makes the wine very refreshing. It's not incredibly complex, but it is fun.

This is such consistently charming stuff that I'm starting to panic that I only have 4 bottles left, and I am usually the sort of person to buy only one or two bottles of any given wine rather than a case.

As per previous notes, a consistently excellent riesling and a crowd-pleaser. Racy and very well balanced. With time, puts on a bit of heft. Sure, there are more contemplative wines, but for pure lemon-apple-zing enjoyment, it delivers.

This is really the perfect everyday Riesling for my palate and at around $15 the price point is perfect, too. I just can't seem to take much in the way of notes on it because I'm always too focused on enjoying it. Just the right amount of acid to balance, poised and pleasurable.
