Most of my experience of Sauv Blanc is informed by New World expressions, particularly New Zealand but also some South America, so this note is probably predominantly relative. The appearance is quite deep, quite yellow. Familiar, tropical and piercing nose. The palate is more acidic and probably a little fresher than I'm used to, but is certainly more refreshing. There seems to me more secondary characteristics behind the fruit than with New World versions which are often a little more flabby in my experience, although there's not a great deal in it.
