Excellent, classic 13% alc. Colour: lemon Bouquet: citrus and citrus blossom, mineral character Palate: as bouquet, a bit creamy, sharp clean acid and long finish, good body. Really classic Sancerre, though less austere than some. This is full flavoured. October 2015

After about 4 hours (uncorked in the fridge) it was a typical sauvignon blanc with these grassy green notes that I don't like so much. But on the other hand it developed a creamy texture, a strong minerality and a strong, but nicely integrated acidity that is backed up with a little sweetness, almost as in a riesling. Altogether an excellent wine and when all these aspects had developed, I really enjoyed it.

Purchased at Applebees at Borough Market in London. A clear step up in quality from the 2008 Verdicchio di Matelica Colle Stefano that preceded it. A light yellow in the glass with an attractive, almost zesty nose of the sea continues to a sharp and clear spine of acidity combined with mineral driven, nicely textured flavors and a good, lingering finish. A very good example of Sancerre that makes me want to seek out more wines from this region.
