I drank this over the course of 3-4 days. On day 1 it was muted, almost as if it was a radio on its minimal volume (all components there, but just barely noticeable) and the volume got turned up a notch every day. On day 1 already clear it was refined and elegant, but hiding… When opened up some petrol, leesy, white peach, pear, melon, chamomile, even some orange peel. High acidity and a long finish with some phenolic bitterness

Outstanding, with everything we want in an Alsatian Riesling including great balance. I opened 1 hour before serving, but no decant. It evolved in the glass, the fruit was luscious, and the typical Alsatian petrol was there, though not overwhelming. It's dry, at 4g/l of sugar, which is our preferred style. Weinbach is one of our favourite Riesling producers and this wine aged beautifully, but I'm not sure it will age 25 or 30 years as the vintage was quite warm. Still, I'm in no rush to open my remaining bottle. I bought this in 2014, shortly after the unfortunate passing of winemaker Laurence Faller. This bottle is just another example of what a terrific winemaker she was.

Pale gold. Nose of orange blossom and lime. Good weight but nothing excessive. Balance and acidity. Just delicious. No sign of this being a hot year.

Delicate and clean Riesling aromas. Soft, creamy and delicate, with great intensity. A great wine in a not so great vintage.

Excellent Riesling with subtle notes of lemon, peach and honey. Mild minerality with nice, long, creamy lemon finish. Drinking very well right now.
