Port4olio Tasting (O Hotel, LA): Rotten egg, sulfury nose. Clean and light. Very juicy but lacking fruit concentration. For immediate drinking but wait for that sulfur to blow off.

Clear light ruby color. Nose initially shows some gamay character, almost Beaujolais-like, and then picks up some earth and mineral, and an almost flowery quality. Palate is delicate and pure, with bright acidity and crisp red fruit, though perhaps lower in intensity than Puffeney's Poulsard (the "M" is the one I've had). I'd like to try them side by side.

Wines of Savoie and Jura (SF Wine Trading Company): Slightly deeper than the Jacquin Pinot. Blacker, even earthier fruit. Some tannin. Very good.
