Wine of the week for me after 5 days in Napa. Barely beat out the 98 Dunn Howell Mountain, the 91 Bosche from Freemark Abbey, and the 96 Heintz Martha's Vineyard. All were super wines but the Dalla Valle was just the right wine for me at the right time. Great nose of forest floor, flowers and just a hint of musk and cedar. The rim was the color of old Charleston brick which bled into a still vibrant purple core. The palate was soft, silky and long lasting with just the right amount of fruit on the mid palate still there. Obviously this wine was well taken care of and is a testament to what the handful of great age worthy Napa cabs can evolve into when properly cared for.

Wineflock - Tour of 1988 (Jim's): Group #3, My #2 - Opaque red/black color. Big forward slightly candied black fruit with briar bright notes and a hint of coffee. Nice big black fruit palate with a touch of sweet. Still good tannins and acidity with plenty of structure. Surprisingly nice for what it is. 93-94pts.

This may have seen better days but now the soy sauce taste and aromas dominate all else
Would use up any remaining bottles to cook Asian food as the wine doesn't really serve any other purpose!
Well over the hill and undrinkable

Cabernet-Dalla Valle Regular Cabernet+Silverado (Hi-Time Wine Cellars, Costa Mesa, Ca.): Pleasant, rich, big intense fruity nose, tasty, chewy taste, medium/long soft tannic finish, polished, needs 2 years to peak.
