Plum fruit, chocolate, earth, herbs and cedar on the nose and palate. Palate still shows bright acidity for its age. It is sweet and smooth. Best to consume sooner than later.

Not decanted. Clear youthful dark garnet color. Beautiful bouquet of juicy sweet red cherries and berries, lilacs, potpourri. Similar on the palate, seamless, balanced, satin mouthfeel, generous and elegant, improved with air, until the bottle was empty, was was all too soon. Superb wine, plenty of life left.

Bottle was acquired, from the best of what I could tell, from Acker at auction and was in Jace's cellar until opening. SOMd for at least two hours. The wine was a bit reticent on the nose at first, exhibiting aged stewed plum but began to develop an iodine, saffron infused bacon nose that screamed Rhone. The mouthfeel was nice with a goo finish but the fruit felt a bit reliquary. It was a wine I kept putting my nose into. Very interesting, not something I'd peg as Cali in any way. Drink up!

Cabernet-Dalla Valle Regular Cabernet+Silverado (Hi-Time Wine Cellars, Costa Mesa, Ca.): Big, rich fruit on the nose, very fruity, medium/big body, tasty, long. soft tannic finish, needs 2 years to peak.
