great aromatics tropical yes but also some talc and minerality it has a faint golden hue I felt the palate was way less interesting and was worried my tongue was off but wife confirmed it was a bit so so what does that mean? A grape like this should age further but i wonder if this is done? I am checking on evolution as the remainder sits in the frige

Celebrating Doug's Birthday...; 11/8/2015-11/9/2015: Color: Golden Yellow Smell: sugar-crusted brown-butter christmas cookies was the dominant scent with a slight tropical fruit note in the back ground. Taste: Tropical fruits...kind of a one-note wine. Overall: This is fuller-bodied than the 2008 that we tasted side-by-side. This seems to be in a place where it would be best to drink it now. Very-good. Medium-full body, and low acidity creates a sensation that this is almost flabby with just-enough acidity to make this enjoyable...but for how long? Drink up. Very Good.

Not oxidized at all, but the fruit has largely faded. Well past prime.

A fun wine. You can tell this is a domestic effort. For people who like this style, the score can certainly go a few points above the 90 I gave it.
