With age it appears this wine has come and gone and perhaps come back for a little encore? Definitely a Zin, with faded notes of Brambleberry spice. On the palate it was thinning out and the finish was short. But it seemed to hold up well and on the second day was drinking as nicely as the first with a rounder feel and more wood evident. The alchol never burned so all in all it still had a little stuff left.

Popped and drank this bottle over two days. The aroma after decanting 24 hours was very pleasant fresh blueberries followed by mint leaves and slight wet earth. The color is amazing after being well past it's prime a dark garnet. It's got longer legs than a woman track star. The wine is round in the mouth, very clean, the fruit is on the back end. Lots of cherry pie with a slightly toasted crust on the finish. The only disappointment here is that there isn't another one! If you find one properly cellared grab it...you're in for a real treat.

Wood like smell and taste. Hoping it will open a bit as it gets some air. Color still bright red.

This was surprisingly still quite good for it's age. Lots of nice fruit, low tannins.

Notes of blackberry and cherry, good tannins. Lacking the depth of the same wine opened several years ago. Should have opened it sooner.
