This is my fourth bottle. Nothing like my previous experiences with this wine. It clearly needed the 13 years which it has had to blossom. This wine has exploded with energy. Far beyond what the critics predicted.

Slo-oxed for an hour and it drank very well and still got better over the hour we drank it. I wouldn’t hold them much longer, if you have them, fruit fading a bit. My last one.

Robust style of Burgundy. Calls for a charred rib steak or porterhouse. Needed 60 minutes for sour cherry to integrate and drying tannins to add balance. A wine to sip and enjoy with food.

Similar to prior note but this bottle had noticeably more energy. Also, exhibited a bit more complexity than the bottle I opened in late 2021.

Greatly improved from one year ago. Wonderful aromas waft from glass. Tannins have faded, fruit has come out. Drink now and over next 6 - 12 months.
