Cherries ripe raspberries and light spices. Medium bodied Dusty tannins Can age but delicious tonight with herbed salmon, roasted broccoli and homemade white bread and butter. Delicious wine but expensive.

At Summer Pavilion, this was very tasty. I really liked the nose on this, with its blushes of black cherries and ripe dark berries, dried earth, some bramble and then a lovely lift of fragrant spice. The palate was very pleasing too, with proper 1er Cru weight and depth to its dark berry and black cherry flavours, again seasoned with a nice touch of fragrant spice and deeper earthier flavours trailing into a satisfyingly full finish. Very yummy, with a decent bit of complexity and a really nice sense of balance to it. Tabnins were nice and ripe too. This was a very solid NSG 1er Cru, drinking well now.

From 0.375. After I tried the very nice 2013, I tried this 2012 and it is even a touch better. Lovely nose with both dark and red fruit. Dark cherry, spices. The palate is very polished with good depth and length. Reminds me of the Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne Village more than a NSG. Great showing. Can be approached now but will also nicely age from here.

La Paulée Zachy's Auction - Thursday (Le Bernardin Privé): Full black cherry nose. Larger scaled with chewy rich black cherry. Good now, but should hold as it has plenty of structure.
