  • The nose produces tones of caramel and dark fruit. De taste is light with a not to heavy but still nice aftertaste.

  • Color is light ruby towards garnet. Nose is has a penetrating intensiveness of fresh cherry fruit backed by leather, rubber, tar, mineral and floral notes. Medium bodied but with very good concentration and almost fat texture for such a 'lean' or crispy grape as Nebbiolo. Acidity is high and tannins are a little coarse grained but not intrusive in the least and both balance very well the wine's concentration. Very flavorful palate and quite complex with crisp fruit and savouriness. A very enjoyable Nebbiolo which can age considerably.

  • Medium ruby. Restrained but very refined nose with lovely florals (violets and rose petals), red cherry, strawberry, asian spices, vanilla and licorice. On the palate it is medium-bodied with somewhat drying but by no means aggressive tannins that soften completely with food, freshness and moderate acidity. There is a feel of suppleness that makes this wine really approachable and enjoyable. Medium, spicy aftertaste. Alcohol is 14% but it is not noticeable. A very versatile food wine to pair with meat dsihes, risotto, pasta or even cheese and salumi variety dishes. As I said before, it is extremely approachable at this stage but might improve further over the next 5 years. This is this winery's entry-level Gattinara.

  • Ruby color with some bricking. Nose of roses, licorice, red fruit, and cinnamon. Medium bodied with good acidity and length, and notes of red fruit. Tannins were there, giving some structure, but totally approachable now. Solid wine; very enjoyable. Drank from a 375 at 90 Acres. 91-92
