Rich nose of violets, blackberry, vanilla, and black cherry. Plenty of heft, presents as young, with a full bold attack. Relatively round tannins, but again a young feel overall. Drink now with an hour of air, or wait another 2-4 years.

very nice. first time trying this winery. only had a glass as this was shared but was well balanced. some graphite and plums stood out. Needed 30 minutes to open up. seems near or at peak.

(Soos Creek Wine Cellars Red Wine Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red Mountain) An aromatically appealing wine with dark fruit, chocolate, floral notes, and spice. The palate is tightly wound with a core of black fruit flavors hanging on a scaffolding of grippy tannins. Lingers on the finish. 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc and 9% Merlot.

Either time did its thing or previous bottle was compromised. This is fabulous! 91+
7-9-2013 note: Wasn't that excited about this wine. It lacked any kind of 'wow' and/or finesse. Hoping that more age will help.
