Deep purple color. Fruity nose of dark cherries, plums and spice. Super smooth fruit on the palate with dark fruits, stony minerals, mild acid with a finish that is not super long. Very pleasant vino!

Opened this on the heels of drinking a bottle of the 2017 vintage of this wine. The 2018 is more fruit forward and richer in style than the 2017. The 2018 is approximately 33% merlot and 67% cabernet, compared to the 2017 which is 95% cabernet and 5% merlot. Both wines are exceptional. At this point in their evolution, my preference is the 2017, which is more savory.

It's great right now, but it would benefit from another year plus or a longer decant.
