Pours a dark, saturated red with some garnet at the edge. Nose of ripe, somewhat medicinal red cherry, menthol, and gravel. Ripe and plushly textured with a broad swath of flavor and solid finish. Whisper of tannin is still present. This is not syrupy or overripe - it's quite good. I think this could still have a 5 year drinking window even now, depending on storage.

At North Square Restaurant NYC. Plenty of red fruit and red licorice on the exotic nose. Medium body. Red fruit on the palate. The cab franc seemed fun and special. Great match with duck. Very good wine, a terrific change of pace.

When 1st popped this was throwing pretty notes of toasted vanilla pods, fresh cherries, cola, cassis and a bit of graphite. On the palate it was definitely young with blocky fruit, leather and big tannins on the finish. After being open for 4 days it really came together with a touch of coconut, fresh cherries and cassis and blackberry seeds but more mature and integrated with more spices and a seamless finish. Should age nicely.

Killer. After it opened up the length and complexity were top notch. Went perfect with game meat.
