Spec's Burgundy Tasting - Mostly 2003s (L'Alliance Francais, Houston Texas): Light gold in color with green apples on the nose. In the middle there were minerals, spices and pears. I liked the texture and medium weight of the wine. Somewhat unique which might make it a buy as an early drinker even at around $27. This is made from 80 year-old vines and aged in 80% 500-liter barrels (half new, half 1 year old) and 20% stainless steel tanks.
