Opened the night before ...decanted for 90 minutes and put back in the bottle. In the cellar corked overnight. Decanted again for an hour. Put back in the cellar and removed an hour later on the way to the event. Drank well, but still young....

Smooth and a bit simple cherry ...light in body...easy going pleasure. The last large glass was frozen and defrosted the next evening after 3 hours open the fist day. WOW, the nose has a sweet smoked BBQ with some sweet berries mixed in. The palate is still light and elegant with cherry and some strawberry. Smooth medium finish. Upgraded to 92....must be peak drinking....

Limpid ruby color. Light body. One hour of air. Crisp red cherry and raspberry fruits, crushed gravel, forest floor; even a hint of mint and orange. Surprisingly prim and gentle for a Gevrey; this is a very refreshing light wine, smooth with a tangy acidity, and offering a delightful complexity.

Drouhin Laroze, M. Ilan, old Sauternes & Ports (JV's): I preferred the 10 over the 09, but most thought it needed more time. Pale ruby in color. Light cherries on the nose. With air, this got a bit deeper, but next to the 09, the nose suffered. On the palate, however, this is deep and complex. Layers of tight cherries and dried forest floor. Nice acidity. Long finish. Kept unwinding beautifully in the glass. Very pretty.

Borgogna: Naso floreale/minerale. finissimo in bocca con una eccezionale acidità e ritorni floreali molto piacevoli.
