  • This bottle was tired but still had a nice aged Sangiovese flavor. Very dry and fine tannins showed nicely, and the tobacco and leather flawed right into that tannin.

  • Purchased for €38 (from Montalcino!) and consumed on the last night on holiday - with barbecued steak. Nose was very developed, with worcester sauce, rich soil, leather and spice. Medium/full bodied on the palate with soft, integrated tannins, worcester sauce again, but more fruity than the nose with some savoury, sour red cherry, leather, fresh acidity adds vibrancy and carries a good length, lingering, harmonious finish.
