Simon Beatty Memorial Dinner - Les Clos table (Noize): Although this unsurprisingly lacked the ethereal poise of the Prum WS Spat, it was an excellent wine in its own right. Full-bodied but not especially viscous (and certainly not flabby), nice spectrum of tropical fruit and a herbal edge. Yum.

This wine is definitely an 85. There's bags of flavour all around, but it's missing the most important part of riesling, the zip, and it kind of slides off the tongue like a greased pig

Found in cellar a couple of bottles of the 2003 Abtsberg Auslese, this is the straight auslese as opposed to the numbered terraced ones I have finished, some trepidation as the others were very disappointing. Lovely yellow honeyed colour with just a glimmer of green, fresh to look at and fresh stone fruits on the gorgeous nose, in the mouth typical Grunhaus light perfect balance of fruit and acidity. Why no more than 85 ? because the last third of the bottle changed to a cloying tinned pineapple with a sickly taste and the acidity lost its balance, in line with so many from this winery during this period of change, shame the first half of the bottle was a 92 +

闻起来有着奶油蛋糕的味道,有些沉闷,使得果脯为主的果香和干花被压制住了。喝起来酸度较高,有些飘忽,果味、蜜糖之类的风味都变得松散了。88/100

An even worse version of the earlier bottle, oily sickly and not very pleasant at all.
