  Decanted four hours in advance. Floral, developed and delicate aromas. Light weighted and elegant on the palate, and fully developed. Even more floral and delicate after several hours in the glass. A wine for sniffing.

  Dark, spicy and earthy Pinot Noir aromas. Tight, restrained and dry on the palate. Drinking well now, but I guess it will improve over the next ten years.

  Domaine de Montille NSG Aux Thorey 2005 magnum.
  Starter ut noe mørk, med lysner raskt og varter opp med Pinot-parfyme, spice, innslag av røde bær, men også noen modningstoner i form av nype og te.
  Denne begynner å komme rundt nå, og er nydelig å sniffe på.
  Pen fylde i anslaget.
  Fin modning i frukten og bra friskhet.
  Medium pluss konsentrasjon.
  Etterhvert melder 05 strukturen seg og river litt i kjakene.
  Ingen skam å åpne disse nå, men heller ingen ting å stresse med.
  Dette var skikkelig digg.
  Lang finish med markante tanniner.
  Tanninene lever nok lenger enn frukten.
  Meget bra. 92p

  Sunday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): Reasonably approachable for a 2005 red Burgundy. This isn't too dense and tannic, but it does have some nice earthy notes to supplement the predominantly black fruit here. Quite a few tannins, but nothing obtrusive.
