  • Cabernet and friends: Plum and milk chocolate aromas. This is still a bit tight and could do with another 5 years or so in the cellar, al dente tannins with good acid spine, dark plums and earth notes. Lovely.

  • 26022023 - 5 ⭐️ luncheon hosted by SKT with 14 bottles of wines & 2 aged cognacs. Our 2nd round of 4 bottles tasted blind curated by SKT. Horizontal 2010 from 4 great producers. My fab red of the day which I initially guesses as Bordeaux Blend from Napa. Delicious & brooding dark cherries, vanilla, creme de cassis, some game & undertones of dark spices at the background. This has great layers and texture, providing a fleshy but yet juicy tannins. Well balanced throughout the palate with elongate finish

  • Colour still has a purple hue. Nose showing tobacco. Palate has a little fruit left up front and then a spicy finish. Really full mouth feel and lots of fine structured tannins. Great finish tops this off as a great wine.

  • Right in prime time drinking. Loads of sediment too. Will make bauxite someday. Warm and luscious black fruits on the palate, this bottle not much savory so drinking now is a joy but I think can go further.

  • Had over BBQ at friends hence only brief notes. A couple of hours of slow-ox was good enough, but I would advise for a quick double-decant instread. Luch and voluptuous with surprisingly dark cherry fruit framed by aging notes of forest floor and leather. Slightly perfumed top notes add to the complexity. I never tasted this young but this appeared in a fantastic drinking spot right now with easily 10+ years of aging potential left.
