As expected from the vintage, a bit ponderous, especially following a 2005 Zilliken Kab, and moderately sweet. However, worth the $11 I paid and more importantly well worth drinking.

Nose of pure ripe peach, palate of very ripe peach, slate, acidity good, but the fruit is richer than I would expect from spatlese, easy to drink, still primary. Will undoubtedly get better with 5+ years.

A half bottle from a restaurant list drunk as an intermezzo. Pale color, simple but pure nose of peach fruit. Rich but without excess weight, and better acidity than so many '03s. Very nice and probably no reason to hold longer term. Not as interesting as the '05 version tried a week ago, but that wine didn't overwhelm with acidity or snap either.

(Selbach Oster Zeltinger-Schlossberg Spatlese) This was fantastic and really surpised me with its rich fruit and zesty acidity. Crystalline purity and lots of mosel slate. Acidity was not high but really zesty and present. Long finish and scary how easy this was to drink.

Petroly nose. Rich, honeyed fruit, slate. medium finish. Could use a touch more acid but overall a very nice wine at this level.

Very nice. Sweet honey, apple upfront. Soft and supple. Nice summer quaffer.
