Markham has always been one of the most consistant and reliable Napa producers of every day red wines for my palate. This refined and balanced aged Cabernet boasts quality notes of blackberry, cassis and plum with a cedar plank backdrop. Still firm, and with defined tannic structure, this wine has held up quite well over the years. An interesting, brisk paced ending echoing creamy mocha and smoky oak. Best now

First pour , this wine eudes both a nose and flavor reminiscent of a higher quality cab. After 15 minutes, the wine loses it's viscosity andthe flavor simplifies to a cherry nuance. Completely appropriate at this qpr, but it started with such promise. If you have any left, stop cellaring & start drinking! It's at its prime if not just past.

Pleasant wine with very few subtleties. Primarily cherry finish with hints of tocacco. Tannins were well proportioned to give some balance. Nose belied the complexity or lack thereof. Worth the price but not by much.

Bought at the winery in 2002 on my honeymoon. What a pleasant surprise...Opened and poured. Very deep garnet, smell of baked plums and currant,on the palate is very smooth and silky, tastes just like it smells, tannins well integrated and not obtrusive. Drunk with meatloaf-was perfect. Will hold for at least 5 more years.Should get me some more,if can find.
