  • Great example of a modern style Maremma wine. Extremely dark fruit and chocolate flavors, cinnamon, polished tannins, fine acidity, rich and deep and without any signs of age. A modern classic for Maremma Merlot. Always liked the 2007 vintage in Maremma. - 93 points

  • Melted funk into beautifully balanced red fruit dominated wine. Why can't we make Merlot like this that ages like a champ? This wine would have given Masetto a run for its money tonight! Yes, that good, but you gotta be into old wine and love melted earth and funk. DRINK!

PS_Forgot to mention, lots and lots of fruit and tannins left in this wine. Its very alive!
