No notes taken as this was consumed at a friend's house, only a mental score and overall experience. This wine was drinking very well in a mature wheelhouse... quite young for a Galardi to feel ready, but then again it was a riper, less structured vintage. The wine is very well balanced at current, showing the typical volcanic, earthy notes and lots of darker, blue fruit. The wine is a little heavier than usual, but it still has a nice balance of integrated (mature) soft tannins and mid level acidity. For having this in 750s, I think it's ready to go. 92-93

From Campagnia...80% Aglianico/20% Piedirosso in volcanic soil. Defintiely a dirty, dusty nose of smoke and ash. Subtle fruit of raspberry, dark plum and blackberry but has mostly given way to the tertiary notes o iron, dried herbs, olive tapenade, and earth. Nice acidity and long finish. Such a unique wine and very good right now.

Very dark garnet. On the nose, generous aromas of dark plum, roses, chocolate, barnyard, a hint of anise. Nice attack on the palate with dark fruit, high acids, medium to high tannins, nicely integrated with a gritty tone, nice aromatic back note. Low to medium alcohol (13.5%). Long finish.

Defiantly showing its age. Still requires a serious decant. Pop and pour was a bit reserved and not expressive, 48 hours later it was improved and more open.
